Rain rain go away..
29/06/2008 by The Horses.
..but we know it’ll be back in about ten minutes time. All day today it has been dry and then wet and then dry and then wet. And when it’s dry the sunshine is glorious.
And Fudge joined us in the field today and sorted us all out.

What a very strange..
26/06/2008 by The Horses.
..day today. I was brought in and groomed and plaited up and then Hamish tried riding me. He even Squeezed my sides. I bucked but he didn’t come off.
These people then stuck a teddy bear on my back and ran me around the school with the other horses.
Very strange.

And Ouch again..
17/06/2008 by The Horses.
..because my feet really hurt. A nice man came down and took my shoes off today which helped and gave me an injection that made me feel great but it is still a little bit sore. I also had George in my box next to me this afternoon and he looked after me really well. He groomed me all over, well as far as he could reach over the stable wall, and it felt really nice.
I’v ejust had a little feed and a good drink and I am now having a munch of hay. I’m not sure why but everytime I lie down to rest I get made to stand up. I think I’ll wait until dark and then try to lie down again and I bet I won’t be disturbed until the morning.

Where did that..
13/06/2008 by The Horses.
fence come from. There I was munching some grass and this sheep fence jumped onto my foot and trapped me. Argh I thought, what did I do to deserve that. I was stuck and my leg was dragged up by the fence. The fence was the length of the field and had fence posts and everything.
Luckily, Kirsten and Ellie came by and beat the fence back before it wrapped itself around my neck and sucked the blood and spirit from me. Then my hero came bounding over the hill and chopped the fence up into little pieces before releasing me. Phew!

..munch. This, munch, grass is, munch munch, delicious. We have finally, munch, been put, munch, back in, munch, our big, munch, field.
I can’t move. I don’t want to move. I’ll just have another bite of this grass.

It’s not fair..
08/06/2008 by The Horses.
..because the ponies have the lovely sweet grass in their field and we are left with the sheep and the well grazed river field. We are considering going on strike. Although at least some of us are still getting fed after work so it’s a very difficult call. Maybe we’ll think about it some more before we actually stop working.

It was great..

..this afternoon because I got to gallop up and around the fields with Charlotte on my back. I went soooo fast and there was no way anyone could stop me. Fantastic!

The grass is..
03/06/2008 by The Horses.
..delicious and we aren’t allowed it. The sheep are breaking through the fence to eat it and the ponies are eating it, but we are still stuck in this steep sided field, reaching over the fence to grab little bits or munching on a mouthful whenever we are taken through the field.
Hopefully one day we may get a field like that all of our own! ![]()

So coooool..
02/06/2008 by The Horses.
.. I just went faster than I have ever done before. I galloped through the fields and went full speed trying to catch up with Tollulah who had a head start. It was fantastic and much better than drag hunting. The wind was whipping through my mane and the ground was flying underneath me. It was such a shame that I ran out of field before I ran out of energy.
Bring it on again.
